Welcome to the world of technology

A story of how my mom is emotionally addicted to her vaio

Buy a computer, this is what everyone told us, open windows, connect with people, be a star! (ok well, not be a star exactly but, you know what this is my blog so just shut up!) so anyway, my mom finally bit the bullet and bought herself a vaio. well do you know what happens when her computer crashes? that's right! she shoves ME out of the way, logs me out of all my accounts, and sits glued to my screen like its her only life preserver in shark infested water. (not like a life preserver would do you any good against sharks, but you know, its an "analogy" )  and do you know what happens if i try to get my computer back? she pulls the authority figure card on me! fairness goes right out the window when she has to check her messages. Ive finally managed to get my computer back,so right now she's sitting on the floor playing solitaire the old fashioned way with the only cards we had around, which happen to be novelty cards that are like half a foot long. a few moments ago she was examining a bug bite, and i quote:"nasty little sucker, bit me right in my fat pocket. hope you die of cholesterol poisoning!"    ..... unquote.  so anyway, this is gonna be a looooong day.
but luckily, i get my new computer today, so while we are there we can drop off hers.  so, until next  time earth!

Childhood memories

ahh, good times

Since there isn't a lot of stuff happening in the present, i thought i'd share some stories of my childhood.
Chapter One, The story of how i was almost electricuted at the young age of seven.
[dramatic narator voice] it was a hot august day, and our young protagonist decided to go and have some fun in the backyard play area.... as she opened the chainlink fence, she heard a peculiar crackling noise, her immediate thought was "electric fence!" and she ran to go get her loving parents. (notice  how referring to yoursef in the third person makes everythoing more dramatic) So after much convincing, she finally managed to get her parents to inspect the fence, her Father lifted the latch on the gate, and he too, heard the strange crackling. as he looked closer he could see a small spark of electricity jump from the metal fencepost to the gate latch. my *ahem* her father didn't believe it at first, until he grabbed the fence (after her mother had accidently bumped it) and a few volts of electricity ran through his body. (i'll aha, spare you the few choice words he used here) my father, (after recovering from the shock) managed to track the strange current to the nieghbors yard, where a frayed extension cord had been haphazardly left laying up against the fence, and the electricity had simply took the path of least resistance, and traveled straight into our fence, and into the play system gate.  And so, another mystery is solved, thanks to the quick thinking of my errr  our young protagonists actions.

also, i should mention that this is (however strange it may seem) a true story, and that the gate has long since been fixed and spark-free. hope you like the story guys! i'll try to write some more tomorrow.

best regards and sweet wishes,

Party!

You can never have too much fun. (or sugar)
Hey y'all, (and when i say y'all i mean my mom) a lot has happened in the past, oh [checking watch] two months. and i thought I'd share some good news, my house is done!  its all built and almost completely painted, except i have a little bit of fear of commitment and I'm a little afraid to  finish it.  also, i went to my first non-family birthday party! i was out (of my mind) for about eight hours, and had a ton of fun!
First we went skating, then to the movies, then we (shhh don't tell) snuck in to another movie, then, when our chaperon, (the birthday girls mom, who incidentally was the one who suggested we sneak) had to go to the bathroom, we stopped in to Kohl's, where a two minute pee-pee break (*sigh* yes, i said pee-pee) turned into a two hour shopping frenzy. i got myself some of those huge sunglasses i always wanted, and got my mom (awesome daughter award here) a necklace that said love on it. then it was off to golden corral, where among the many plates of pizza and jell-o, i got some steak and spinach. (did i mention I'm on the strictest diet known to man? I'm talking oatmeal and beans here people) in short, i had an awesome time, although mom was a little worried when it took us 4 hours to eat. (i, ahem miiiight have forgot to mention the shopping trip. oops.)  i lmao'd  (that's laughed my ankles off) the whole night, especially when we were all a little hopped up on sugar. (and spinach)

p.s.
if any body reads this, (this includes you, mom) let me know what you think. it'd be nice to have a couple readers for once

What up with that?

i never have understood Valentine's day, i mean, come on, aren't you supposed to love a person even when he doesn't buy you chocolates and a bear that will sit on the shelf for the rest of your life?
i don't really know from experience (i am 14 after all) but it seems to me like valentines day is just another way to spend money on garbage we don't  really need. i guess I'm kind of a Valentines day curmudgeon in that respect, even when i was little i never really got the point. and didn't  st. Valentine have something to do with a massacre?  bloodshed and artillery just scream romance am i right?  but in other news... i  am almost done with my dollhouse now, just some trim and fireplaces left. which is good, because I'm not allowed to play with my friends until this thing is done. (well, it IS a school thing) it looks really good, but I'm a little nervous about painting inside, where the winding staircase is. *sigh* one step at a time i guess...
another thing you should know about me is that I'm seriously addicted. to online scrabble, that is!  i play about two hours a day when I'm not working on my dollhouse, and i have learned some pretty left-Field words. like lekythoi for instance, its some kind of Greek oil jar apparently.  well, that's it for now,  till next time invisible-people-that-aren't-really-reading-this-right-now!

The "advantages" of owning a car

yet another reason to never grow up.

Whenever Easter, Halloween, or my birthday come around, i get slightly depressed. no more Easter egg hunts, trick-or-treating, or birthday parties with incredibly corny party games. whenever i ask someone what the upside of getting older is, they always say, "driving. driving means freedom. yeah!"  hmmm.... on second thought i may have over dramatized they're response, but nonetheless, everyone has been touting the whole "buy a car" thing to death, and i have something to say about it.

My top  ten eleven reasons not to own a car

1:  oh look my statement just came in the mail!   what the? this can't be right...overpriced insurance
2:who left that nail in the road?....BAM!  *screeeech* ......tires
3: um excuse me? carlovers inc.?  is this black stuff supposed to be coming out of my car?...oil change
4:  and we have zero financing for up to six months, and if you buy now we'll throw in this air freshener....  the process of selecting a car that isn't a lemon
5:oh look, your engine just blew!.... repairs
6: and youve managed to lock your keys inside.....roadside assistance
7: tch, and on the first day of that new job too.....
8: oops! out of gas........tow truck
9:what's this bozo doing?! this isn't the turn la-*HONK HONK* geez!.....other idiot drivers
10: [heading south]  the constant pressure/guilt to pick up hitchhikers
11: (since 7 was an add on)  and finally, [bee boo bee boo bee boo wheeeeeeoooh wheeeeooh] uh-oh......... not understanding the meaning of a full stop.

but hey, at least you can go to the movies! -oh wait, you're broke.
